Dann, Pioneer Farmer, Dies; Funeral Saturday for Folletts Man;
Low Moor—Thomas H. Dann, 93, a resident 92 years in Eden township, Clinton county, died suddenly late Wednesday afternoon in his farm house west of Folletts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 2 p.m. in the Bragonier-Fay chapel in Clinton, Rev. Myron Brockmeyer, pastor of Low Moor Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Shafton cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
Mr. Dann was born Sept. 29, 1866 in Elvira, son of George H. and Sarah Ann Hudson Dann. The family moved to Eden township when he was a year old. Mr. Dann was married Sept. 30, 1891 to Maria Follett in the same residence where he died and where the couple spent their entire married life. Mrs. Dunn died n July of 1943.
The deceased spent his entire life farming, retiring in 1947. He was assessor and trustee of Eden township for many years and was one of the founders and a veteran officer of the Low Moor Telephone Co. Mr. Dann was a member of the Low Moor Methodist church, Endeavor Lodge, A.F. and A.M and Low Moor Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Lowell, and a daughter, Mrs. Florence Wilson, who have resided with their father, and a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Edna) Brown of Clinton; one grandson; 2 brothers, Sam A. of Clinton and Walter W. of Manteco, Calif., and nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
