Dr. Dr. Juergen Holl

Dr. Dr. Juergen F. Holl, 75, of Fulton, Illinois, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.

Time of Sharing Memories will be 7:00pm Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00pm Monday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be Tuesday at the Smith Cemetery, rural Andover. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Zornig, Dr. George York, Dr. Elpidio Mariano, Steve Pelham, Dr. Douglas Jergenson, and Dr. Saadi Albaghdadi.

Juergen Franz Holl was born on August 15, 1934 in Wilhelmshaven, Germany the son of Ernst and Kathe (Kock) Holl. He married Metta Schloetel in 1962 in Germany, they later divorced.

Juergen graduated from high school in Stade, Germany. He graduated in 1961 from dental school in Hamburg. He graduated in 1963 from medical school in Frankfurt. He came to the United States in 1963. He served his internship in Morristown, New Jersey. He served his radiology residencies in Denver, Colorado, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Juergen was a radiologist at Mercy Medical Center from August 1967 until his retirement in January 2010. Over the years he served on many hospital boards and committees.

Juergen was a member of the Clinton County Medical Society, the Clinton Country Club and a member of 29 Club. He was also a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Society. He enjoyed boating, golfing, reading, and teaching.

Juergen is survived by his significant other one for the past 19 years: PJ Ladehoff of Fulton; two sons: Jorn (Laura) Holl of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, and Tim Holl of Brandon, Florida; one step-son: Brach Jennings of Fulton, Illinois; and two granddaughters: Nina Holl and Ava Holl of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.

Juergen was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Children’s Department of the Fulton Library or the Mercy Health Care Foundation.
