Melvin Glenn Wulf
(September 14, 1915 - May 1, 2010)

Melvin G. Wulf, 94, of rural Grand Mound passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton, Iowa.
Mr. Wulf was born to William and Ida Wieck Wulf in rural Scott County near Eldridge on September 14, 1915. He married Opal Olson of Calamus on February 1, 1939 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Davenport. Opal died January 3, 1989. He later married Doris Hicks on October 26, 1991 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bliedorn.

Melvin lived for 75 years on his family's Century Farm near Bliedorn prior to moving to DeWitt in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Doris of Windmill Manor Nursing Home, Coralville; a daughter, Sharon Steward, Glenarm, IL. sons, LeRoy (Barb) Wulf, Grand Mound and Dale Wulf, Clinton; stepchildren, Joyce Coppess, Iowa City, Mary K. Hicks, St. Paul, MN., Charles Hicks, Jerome, MI. and Roger Hicks, Riverside, IA.; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Margery Wulf, DeWitt and Bernice Wulf, Eldridge.

Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Opal; son, Larry; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Wulf; brothers, Lester, William, and Vernon sisters, Edna Engler, Vera Peters and Ruby Wulf.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, May 4, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Addition visitation will be 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bliedorn. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bliedorn at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 with The Reverend Dan Olson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound followed by a luncheon at the Church. Pallbearers will be Tyler Steward, Andrew Wulf, Ronnie Peters, Terry Wulf, Bill Engler and Loren Knoche.
