Heinz William Petras

Heinz William Petras, 83, of Camanche passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, SOUTH CHAPEL, 2610 Manufacturing Drive.

Funeral service will be 7p.m. also Thursday evening.

Heinz was born February 10, 1927 in Germany. On May 12, 1979, Heinz married Kathleen Alksnis in Chicago, IL. Heinz was a Manufacturing Manager for Jolsyn in Chicago.

Heinz was a lifetime member of the VFW, he loved the CUBS, he enjoyed to sing, dance, and spending time with his family and friends. He spoke fluent German language, he always had a treat for everybody, and Heinz was truly the heart of the family.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathleen of Camanche, 1 daughter, Debbie, of Cheyenne, WY. 4 granddaughters, Kathleen, Mary, Tapanga , Brandi, and several family members and friends.
