Renee B. Cottrell
Wheatland. Renee B. Cottrell, age 61, of Wheatland, Iowa, died May 4, 2008, at University Hospital in Iowa City. Renee was born July 29, 1946, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, to Archie and Ann (Evens) Veeder. Renee married Robert Cottrell August 1, 1964, at St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Renee was employed at the Calamus-Wheatland School district for over 20 years. She had served on the Wheatland Library board that moved to its new location. She loved fishing, playing cards, gardening and birdwatching.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday with Reverend Laird Keever officiating. Following services Renee will be cremated, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 6 at Chapman Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters Amy (Mike) Donahue of Maquoketa and Chris (Joe) Buchmeyer of Wheatland; son Bret (Bobbi) of Lowden; 5 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren; and sisters Cora Morey of Arizona, Ione Benner of St.Cloud, Minnesota, and Mina Follestad of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Renee was preceded in death by parents.
