Katherine M. Dolan, 95, DeWitt, died Thursday afternoon, April 22, 2010 at Westwing Place, DeWitt.
Katherine Mary Dolan was born December 9, 1914 at rural Delmar, Iowa, to Simon and Anna (Goodsman) McCoy. She married Earl Dolan November 20, 1937. The couple farmed for many years in the Toronto area before retiring to Charlotte. Earl preceded Katherine in death May 3, 1976. She also worked at Collis Company in Clinton for fifteen years, retiring and moving to DeWitt, in 1978.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. She enjoyed flowers, working in her yard, playing cards and casino gambling.

Survivors include a nephew, Gordon Berst and his wife, Marlene, DeWitt, and a niece, Sonia Wegner, Bradenton, Florida; several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Connolly presiding. Burial will be at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Charlotte. Memorials are suggested to the Church or Westwing Place.
