Marvin H. Bader, 76 of Camanche, passed away Sunday April 18th, 2010 at the Clarrisa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00am at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Jen Henry officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday April 21st, 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel.

Pallbearers include: Ron Vandalsen, Doug Jenner, Dennis Jenner, Rick Kohrt, Dan Kohrt, Steve Kohrt, and Randy Kohrt

Marvin was born May 30th, 1933 in Wishek North Dakota, the son of Henry and Emma (Hochhalter) Bader. On September 4th, 1959 Marvin married Shirley Kohrt at Zion Lutheran Church. Marvin was a crane operator for the Chicago Northwestern railroad. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Moose Club (acting as an officer for 18 years), the Eagles Club, and The Sons of the Amvets Club. He enjoyed taking long walks, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Shirley of Camanche, his son Terry of Clinton, two sisters - Irene Glaesman of Minnesota, Alleen Jenner of South Dakota, one brother – Elmer (Pat) Bader of South Dakota, two brother in-laws – Delbert (Nobuko) Kohrt of California, Darrell (Gail) Kohrt of Council Bluffs, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers and three brother in-laws.
