Clinton, Iowa - Roger J. Schumacher age 70 of Clinton, died Sunday April 18, 2010 at Mercy North Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Friday April 23rd at Pennington Cemetery in Sigourney, IA. Visitation will be held Thursday 2 – 6 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. Following the visitation there will be a luncheon served at the Sister’s Cafe (127 6th Ave S) Clinton. Casket bearers will be Mike Felletti, Larry Hagan, John Leab, Will and Bill Schocker, and Dave Kutcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick and Kurt Conklin, Wayman McLaughlin, Carl Chase, and John Harvey.

Roger was born on Nov. 10, 1939 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Doris (Rogers) Schumacher. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. He served in the US Navy. He married Diana Conklin on Feb. 2, 1963 in Morrison, IL. He worked for Chicago Northwestern Railroad in the car shops and was a union electrician for Local Union #145. retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with his family & friends.

Roger is survived by his wife, Diana of Clinton; five children, Randy Conner of Fenton, IL, Harold Schumacher of Clinton, Shawn (Shaune) Kennedy of Clinton, Gina (Pat) Marsh of Madison, WI, and Winnie Schumacher of Fulton, IL; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
