CLINTON — Mildred T. Ruocco, age 92, of Clinton, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Eagle Point Nursing Home. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mildred was born in Cranford, New Jersey, on May 9, 1917, the daughter of Charles and Emily Bauer Toussaint. She graduated from Montclair High School, Montclair, New Jersey, in 1935. Mildred married Louis P. Ruocco on April 28, 1943, in Boston. Louis died on October 5, 2005. Mildred was the payroll clerk for the town of Montclair. She and Louis moved to Clinton in May of 2000. Mildred was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Willard) Grimes of Clinton and a granddaughter, Diana Grimes of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorials may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or the Iowa Department for the Blind. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
