CLINTON — CLINTON — Marjorie Florence Watson, 70, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16th, at 1:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Marjorie was born December 5, 1939, in Lancashire, England, to Albert and Margaret (Taylor) Cartmell. She graduated from high school in 1955 in Blackpool, England. Marjorie married Boyd Watson Sr. on May 27, 1960, in Clinton. In June of 1955, Marjorie moved to Clinton along with her sister Marie to be a nanny for the “Curtis Family.” She was a waitress for the Frontier Hotel for 20 years and then several years at Moe’s Pizza. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking, loved animals and traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Bruce) Dixon of Cedar Rapids, IA, Tina Lemke of Clinton; two sons, Boyd “Pete” (Tatiana) Watson, Land O’Lakes, FL, Cloyd Watson of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, Tye, Travis and Ashley Klooster, Brooke Dixon, Josh and Nikki Watson, Curt and Chris Watson and Konnor and Logan Lemke; 4 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Helena, Ralston and Kaelyn; 2 loving sisters, Marie Cartmell, Clinton, Jean Whitesmith, Preston, England; four brothers, Albert Cartmell, Leyland, England, Brian Cartmell, Preston, England, Alan Cartmell, Broughton, England, Norman Cartmell, Leyland, England; and special friends, Judy and Jess McGilvrey of Camanche.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Tye and Travis Klooster, Josh, Curt and Chris Watson, and Konnor and Logan Lemke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, George Lemke, and one brother, Anthony. Memorials can be made to the Prince of Peace Academy and College Preparatory.
