CLINTON — CLINTON — Willis J. Lueders, 76, of Clinton, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory, with Pastor Christine Minor-Heilig officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Haack, Richard Brodersen, Casey Brodersen, Ray Lanfier, Don Blocker and Roger (Kiner) Giddings. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willis John Lueders was born on June 9, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Edward and Ann (Mahmens) Lueders. He married Patricia Graham on June 1, 1957, in Clinton.

Willis was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1954 to 1956.

Willis was a millwright at DuPont for 33 years, retiring in 1985.

Willis was a member of Lyons United Methodist Church, served as a Little League coach, a member of the Clinton Moose Club, past member of the VFW and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and doing lawn work.

Willis is survived by his wife: Pat of Clinton; two sons: Guy Lueders of Clinton and Glen (Carol) Lueders of Clinton; one daughter: Gail Carstens of Blue Grass, Iowa; five grandchildren; Jennifer (Joe) Stuhr, Kelly Carstens, Shelby, Jon, and Kara Lueders; a twin brother: Wayne (Connie) Lueders of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
