CLINTON — CLINTON — Katherine Johanna Hoffmann, 92, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Monday, March 1, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes North Chapel. Burial will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa.

Katherine was born April 19, 1917, in Muscatine, Iowa, daughter of Roy O. and Elsie K. (Hank) Dunker. Kathryn graduated from Muscatine High School in 1935 and attended Brown Business College and Mount St. Clare College.

Katherine married Paul V. Hoffmann, June 24, 1950, in Dubuque.

Katherine was a homemaker. She was member of the Prince of Peace Parish, past president and room mother of the Home and School Association, past choir member, past Eucharistic minister, past member of the Board of Director and Treasurer of Christian Family Movement of Diocese, Davenport. She was involved in many civic organizations including past member of Restoration Committee, YWCA; past member and past president of Mobile Meals Board of Directors, past route captain of Mobile Meals, past president of Beta Sigma Phi, past member of Junior Women’s Club and member and past president of Tri-S Women’s Club.

Survivors include her husband, Paul of Clinton; four daughters, Susan K. Altorfer Winegarden, Cedar Rapids, IA; Janet C. Booth, Williamsburg, OH; Sandra A. Hoffmann, Washington, D.C.; and Nancy J. Allendorf, Coralville, IA; grandchildren, Michael V. (Angee) Booth; Teresa A. (Ben) Kennedy; Heidi E. Altorfer; Amy K. Altorfer; William H. Altorfer; Nicholas S. Allendorf; and Thomas M. Allendorf; and four great-grandchildren.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials can be made to the Canticle of Clinton, Iowa.
