Morrison, Ill. — Gene Yarbrough, 75, of Morrison, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Mcllrath, of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

Memorials will be established.

He was born September 26, 1934, in Morrison, IL, to Howard and Della (VanKampen) Yarbrough.

He attended Fulton Grade School, Fulton, IL.

He married Lois (Marie) Pruis on April 13, 1956, in Morrison, IL; she died August 27, 1980. He then married Marcia Shierry on August 3, 1981, in Clinton, IA; she survives.

He was employed by Patent Novelty Company, Fulton, IL, then later worked for General Electric in Morrison, IL, for 34 years.

Gene enjoyed collecting toy tractors and listening to country music.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia; three daughters, Linda (Scott) Weets, Morrison, IL, Patricia (Fredy Jr.) Hadley, Morrison, IL, Jackie (Joel) Collins, Fulton; one son, Scott Yarbrough, Morrison, IL; two stepdaughters, Leslie (Allen) Wagenecht, Morrison, IL, Cheryl (Mike) Bratcher, Keller, TX; two grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Carol (Donald) Hook, Fulton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lois; one stepson, Mark Hurd.
