DAVENPORT — Laura (Frey) Anderson, 33, of Davenport, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2010, from 3-8 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church.Memorials may be made to the family.Laura was born on May 25, 1976, in Clinton to John and Cheryl (McCoy) Frey. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in Clinton in 1994 and from University of Iowa in 1998. She was united in marriage to Josh Anderson on October 10, 2008, in Cedar Falls, IA. Laura was an exceptional wife and devoted mother to her two children. Laura was an avid swimmer and was very involved with her community. She was involved in the American Heart Association, Genesis Heart Gala, American Cancer Society, Heart Walk and helped set up a cancer camp for children.Laura had been working at Ruhl and Ruhl and was a member of the National Association of Realtors, Iowa Association of Realtors, and Quad Cities Area Realtors Association where she chaired and served on several committees for the organization. Laura generously gave back to the community with her time, talents and finances which went far above and beyond the ordinary.Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband Josh, daughter, Jillian, and son A.J. Bynum; parents, John and Cheryl Frey; mother- and father-in-laws, Joan and Greg Coffin, Cedar Falls, and Jim and Linda Anderson, Cedar Falls; sister, Deborah (John) O'Connor, Kansas City, Kansas; brother, Robert (Cia) Frey, Kalamazoo, MI; brother- and sister-in-laws, Jason (Amanda) Anderson, Katie Anderson, Kyle Corson, Liz (Phil) Hurlbut, Aaron (Nicole) Coffin; grandmother, Marie McCoy; and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by two grandfathers and a grandmother.Laura touched the lives of many, and the love she had for her family and friends will live in our hearts forever.
