PRESTON — Brandon Jon Oldag, loving son, brother and grandson, age 20, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau, Wisconsin, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, at St. John Lutheran Church, Preston, Iowa, with Pastor Gregory Geier officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, at St. John Lutheran Church, Preston. Condolences and tributes may also be given at www.lawjonesfuneralhome.com.Brandon was born April 10, 1989, in Maquoketa, the son of William "Bill" and Pansy (Cox) Oldag. He attended Preston schools and is a 2007 Preston High School graduate. Brandon was known for his kind heart and free spirit. Brandon liked helping others and chose to spend his time with family and friends. In younger years he enjoyed sports, including baseball, soccer and golf. He also enjoyed hunting with his dad and brothers. He later became interested in cars, dirt bikes and motorcycles. Brandon liked hanging out with friends, riding his Harley and took pride in designing his own tattoos. Brandon recently worked for George Gravert Construction. He also worked at Olson's Service Station and Plastics Unlimited in Preston and Brad Deery Chevrolet, Maquoketa. When Brandon was sixteen he chose to sign for organ donor registration. On Thursday, that choice became a reality, his life will bless many others. Brandon will be dearly missed by his parents, Bill and Pansy Oldag of Preston; his two brothers, Brent of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Brady of Preston; his maternal grandmother, Norma Cox of Preston and his paternal grandmother, Joan Oldag of Tacoma, Washington; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Oldag; maternal grandfather, Ernest Cox; and an aunt, Julie Craft.Death date: Sept. 24, 2009
