CLINTON — Dixie Lee Hyde, age 67, of Clinton, died Sunday, September 13, 2009, at the Eagle Point Nursing Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 17th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be family and friends of Dixie Lee. Dixie Lee was born in Clinton on July 29, 1942, the daughter of Earl F. and Grace F. Conley Hyde. She attended Clinton schools. Dixie Lee did janitorial work at the law offices of Holleran, Shaw, Murphy and Stoutner and Mayer, Lonergan and Rolfes. She loved her cats and enjoyed making handmade cards for all occasions, reading, music, collecting dolls and family photos. Dixie Lee is survived by many relatives including Mike Murphy of Clinton and Patricia Nance of Lamar, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles and Joseph Murphy.
