DEWITT — Sally S. (Mrs. Merle) Carter, 64, DeWitt, died Monday morning, September 7, 2009, in her home. Sally Sue Grove was born April 24, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Chester Ernest and Avelda Loretta (Marburger) Grove. On March 18, 2003, Sally was united in marriage to Merle Carter. She worked in clerical at Medical Associates, Clinton, for many years. Sally loved and lived life to its fullest. In addition to her husband, Merle, Sally is survived by daughters, Deyenna (Naeve) D'Ambrose and her husband, Carl, Lake Villa, Illinois, and Denise (Naeve) Schimmers and her husband, Brian, Greenville, Wisconsin; stepchildren, Dwayne Carter and his wife, Tracey, Blue Grass, and Nicole Caffery, Davenport; grandchildren, Nicole and Tyler D'Amborse, Jakee and Sammy Schimmers, Scott and Michael Carter and Hannah Caffery. Preceding Sally in death were her parents. At Sally's request there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, is caring for the arrangements. Death date: Sept. 7, 2009
