DEWITT — Anna M. Fugate, 92, of DeWitt, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 17, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1100 11th Ave. North, Clinton. Anna Mary Wernick was born on February 25, 1917, in Clinton, the daughter of Wesley and Mary (Myers) Wernick. She married Howard Fugate on July 7, 1931, in Clinton; he died on June 26, 1980. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by 2 daughters, Connie Gee of DeWitt and Phylis Fugate of Blackhawk, SD; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Howard, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, one grandson, one great-grandson, and 2 sons-in-law.
