CLINTON — Lois May Meyers of Clinton, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Mercy North Medical Center. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Clinton Public Library. Lois was born on May 19, 1918, in Gordonsville, MN, the daughter of Gay and Grace (Resor) Seuser. She married Roman Meyers in 1942 in Albert Lea, MN; he died in 2006. She worked as a secretary for the manager of Interstate Power Company in Albert Lea, MN, for several years. They moved to Clinton in 1953. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing short stories. Lois is survived by her three children, Linda (John) Donelson of Iowa City, Mary Meyers and Paul (Sondra) Meyers, both of Clinton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorna Bothof; and a brother, Duane Seuser. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Steven; two sisters and four brothers.Death date: May 26, 2009
