The Clinton Herald Friday July 8, 1960 p. 11 Mrs. Mary Margaret Ploen, 84, 2503 N. 2nd St., died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital. The body is at the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, with Rev. Harold Putney, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in the Miles cemetery. Members of the Rebekahs will meet in a body at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mary Margaret Kuehl was born Sept. 24, 1875, the daughter of Peter and Josephine Naeve Kuehl, and was married Feb. 21, 1900, to Henry F. Ploen. She was a member of the Congregational church of Miles, and of Olive Branch Rebekah lodge 369. She was past noble grand of the Rebekahs, and a member of Rebekah lodge sewing circle. Surviving are a son, Albert; three grandchildren, Mrs. John North and Delbert Ploen of Clinton, and Kenneth Ploen of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were he husband, two brothers, and a sister.
