Gloria Cooper 05/24/2001 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Gloria J. Cooper, of 310 S. 7th St., will be 9 a.m. Friday at Springdale Cemetery, Clinton. Mrs. Cooper died May 18, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-Clinton, North Campus. Schmitz Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. She had worked since 1990 at Samaritan Health Systems until becoming disabled. Before that, she was employed as a nurse's aide at several health care agencies in Groves, Texas; Cleveland, Texas; Mississippi; and for nearly 10 years in Houston. Gloria Kennedy was born Jan. 7, 1949, in Sumner, Miss. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include Robert George, Clinton, with whom she shared a home; an adopted daughter, Barbara Hughey, Clinton; sons, Michael Kennedy, Houston, and Daryl Coleman, Water Valley, Miss.; several grandchildren; sisters, Sue Alderete, Killen, Ala., Mirrell High, Sumner, Miss., and Geneva Gee, Killen, Texas; and a brother, Bobby Kennedy, Houston.
