Berniece Bartels 05/14/2001 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Berniece A. Bartels, Clinton, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Mrs. Bartels died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. She was a homemaker. Berniece Hosette was born June 24, 1915, in Rock Island. She married John Bartels in 1932 in Morrison, Ill. He died in 1981. Survivors include daughters, Shirley Greathouse, Akron, Ohio, and Joyce Schaeffer, Mound City, Mo.; sons, Gary and Richard, both of Clinton; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Johnson and Phyllis Gundelfinger, and brothers, Jack and George Hosette, all of Clinton.
