Margaret Berger 04/10/2002 CALAMUS, Iowa -- Margaret E. Berger, Calamus, formerly of Ottumwa, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Westwing Place, DeWitt. At her request, the body was cremated. No visitation or services will be held. Burial will be later in Shrine of Memories Cemetery, Ottumwa. Schultz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Berger was employed as a registered nurse at the former St. Joseph Hospital, Ottumwa. She retired at age 72. Margaret Gibb was born Oct. 18, 1913, in Hiteman. She married Fritz Berger in 1954 in Kirksville, Mo. He died April 12, 2001. Survivors include a son, William A., Calamus; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Gibb, Albia.
