Alice Ebensberger 02/11/2002 CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Alice Ebensberger, of Clinton, formerly of Chicago, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Miss Ebensberger died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Alice Ebensberger was born May 16, 1916, in Clinton. She spent 58 years in Chicago where she worked as a secretary with the Zurich (Swiss) Insurance Co. During World War II, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she was a private secretary for the transportation department at the Pentagon. She returned to Chicago after the war and was employed as a secretary with the Santa Fe Railway until her retirement. Survivors include a brother, Franklin B. Ebensberger, Clinton; and six nieces and nephews.
