Nadine Beck 01/28/2002 MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Services for Nadine M. Beck, of Maquoketa, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Beck died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, after a short illness related to cancer. She worked at Hinckley Drug Store, Maquoketa, for several years. She then worked at Carson's Pharmacy, Maquoketa, for Dale Yoder and Thor Holmgren as a pharmacy assistant. After doing this for several years, Dale Yoder opened up Family Pharmacy and she went to work for him as a pharmacy assistant, retiring in 1998. Nadine Beck was born Dec. 18, 1932, in Oxford Mills. She married Claude Beck in 1953 in Kahoka, Mo. A Nadine M. Beck Memorial Fund has been established. Survivors include her husband, Claude Beck, Maquoketa; a son, Mark, Maquoketa; two grandsons; and sisters, Clara Cooper, Davenport, and Betty Gravert, Dewitt.
