Dean Barnes 02/01/2001 CLINTON, Iowa -- Dean S. Barnes, of Clinton, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center-North, Clinton. There will be no services or visitation. A private family service will be held today at Oakland Cemetery. Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 8, 1921, in Clinton. He married Jeanette Hagge in 1946 in Clinton. He was a supervisor at E.I. DuPont, Clinton, for more than 33 years, retiring in 1979. He was a Marine veteran, serving during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; and several nieces and nephews.
