Bessie Wacker Tarr 05/25/1999 DELMAR, Iowa -- Services for Bessie V. Wacker Tarr, of Delmar, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Carson & Son Funeral Home, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Tarr died Sunday, May 23, 1999, at her home. She was employed many years on the crank line at Clinton Engines, Maquoketa. Bessie Head was born July 25, 1915, in Dubuque. She married Milo Wacker in 1935 in Preston. He died in 1956. She married Russell Tarr in 1958 in Iowa City. He died in 1989. Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of Clinton. Survivors include daughters, Coyla Merrill, Clinton, and Darlene House, Sabula; a son, Thomas Wacker, Delmar; a stepson, Robert Tarr, Green Island; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Manning, on Nov. 28, 1998.
