CLINTON — Loren Stillings, 85, of Clinton, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Mercy Living Center, South Campus. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Loren was born November 12, 1922, in Douglas County, MO, to Elzia and Anna (Swearengin) Stillings. He married Helen Griffin on April 11, 1947, in Kansas City, MO. He was a Pipe Fitter, local 178 out of Spring Field, MO, and served in the U.S. Army, 6th Army Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1945.He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Clinton; three sons, Mike (Nancy) Stillings of Camanche, Charles (Amanda) Stillings of Clinton, Thomas (Brenda) Stillings of Albany; four daughters, Anna Stillings of Clinton, Mary Milligan of Albany, Teresa (Warren) Brock of St Charles, MO, Veronica Stillings of Sterling, Ill; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Robert.
