DUBUQUE — Sister Dolores Hahn, BVM, 82, died Nov. 23, 2008, at Marian Hall, Dubuque, Iowa. Visitation will be Nov. 26 from 9-11 a.m. with a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the Marian Hall Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. with burial in the Mount Carmel cemetery.Sister Dolores was an elementary school educator at St. Jerome, Chicago, Ill.; St. Anthony, Casper, Wy.; and St. Patrick, Lead, S.D. In Iowa, she taught at St. Ellen, Emmetsburg; St. Athanasius, Jesup; Holy Name, Marcus; and Corpus Christi, Fort Dodge. She was missioned for 27 years at Sacred Heart, Lincoln, Neb.Sister Dolores was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Grand Mound, Iowa, to Harry and Ursula Kaeferstein Hahn. She attended St. Anne School, Grand Mound, and graduated from St. Joseph High School, DeWitt, before entering the BVM congregation on Sept. 8, 1944. She professed first vows on March 19, 1947, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1952.She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Rita Claeys and Clarice Goodall; and brother, James Hahn.She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Harksen, Monica Green, Bernadette Wisor, Madonna Glasz, and Dorthy Enright; brothers, Vincent, George and Donald Hahn; and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 64 years.Memorials may be given to the Sisters of Charity, BVM Retirement Fund.Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. Dubuque, Iowa, 563.582.3297, is in charge of arrangements.Death date: Nov. 23, 2008
