BETTENDORF — Harold M. Bortleson, 67, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, and formerly of Park View, Iowa, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital in Bettendorf. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2008, at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 6021 Northwest Blvd., Davenport, Iowa, where he was a member. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation. He was born October 20, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Eric and Golda (Parker) Bortleson. On November 2, 1962, he was united in marriage to Delores “Lola” Quijas in Davenport. She preceded him in death on April 7, 1980. On June 5, 1981, he was united in marriage to Marcia K. Jennings in Park View, Iowa. Harold was employed by the A.D. Huessing Bottling Company of Davenport, later known as the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, retiring as plant manager after 37 years of faithful service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, caring for his yard and garden and most of all, spending time with his beloved family and wonderful friends. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Marcia; his daughters, Roxanne (Alf) Eversoll of Camanche, Iowa, and Christi (Rod) Baetke of Long Grove, Iowa; his stepdaughters, Jennifer (Mick) Magner of Davenport, Sarah (Tim) Clark of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and Carrie Carlstrom of Davenport; eleven grandchildren; his sister, Joyce (Ron) Riedesel of Aurora, Colorado; and his brother, Gilbert (Marlene) Bortleson of Black Diamond, Washington.
