The Clinton Herald Monday March 9, 1942 p. 5 Gustav E. Hagberg, aged 87, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.A. Buckley, 238 Fifteenth avenue, South. He had been in ill health the past three years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bragonier funeral chapel and burial will be in the Pine Grove cemetery. The Rev. R.Y. Johansson of Immanuel Lutheran church will officiate. The body reposes in the funeral chapel where friends may call. Gustav E. Hagberg, son of Lars and Anna Olson Hagberg, was born Dec. 6, 1854, in Tocxfors, Sweden. He married Miss Bertha Anderson in Sweden and they came to this country in 1878. Mr. Hagberg lived in Clinton county the past 60 years. He was employed in the Lamb saw mills until they discontinued operation. Mrs. Hagberg died 22 years ago and since that time he resided with his daughter, Mrs. Buckley. Surviving are the daughter; two sons, Fred and Albert of Clinton; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
