Harry Ruggeberg, 100, of Lost Nation died Sunday, Aug. 12, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Wheatland.

Services were to be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Union Presbyterian Church in Lost Nation with the Rev. Paul Skelley officiating. Burial will be in the Lost Nation Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Malamphy Funeral Home in Lost nation.

Mr. Ruggeberg was born Jan. 30, 1884 in rural Lost Nation to Emil and Bertha Mann Ruggeberg. He married Dorothy Schunter June 6, 1908. They farmed for 11 years near Martell, Iowa before moving to rural Lost Nation where they farmed until 1972.

He was a director of the First Trust and Savings Bank of Lost Nation and was named honorary director after serving 39 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Janice) Richmann of Lost Nation, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
