MAQUOKETA — Ronald E. “Ron” Hovey, 69, of Maquoketa, died Monday at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa with the Rev. Gerald Gjerde, from the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa, officiating. There is no public visitation. A private family viewing will be held. All friends and relatives are invited to a reception following the services at the First Lutheran Church social room. Inurnment will be in the Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.Death date: Oct. 27, 2008
