CLINTON — Marcella G. Weaver, age 83, of Clinton, died Saturday October 11, 2008, at Mercy Living Center South in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16th, at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be John Sawvell Jr., Billy Kramer Mickie Sawvell, Mike Struve, Michael Brown, Steve Struve, Steve Maika and Brandon Jewell. Marcella was born on May 23, 1925, in Long Rock, WI, the daughter of Anton and Winnie Ruhlstead Rose. She married William John Sawvell in 1948. He preceded her in death. She later married Hugh S. Weaver on April 13, 1960, in Long Rock. Hugh died in February of 2004. Marcella was a homemaker. She cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching and listening to her son’s band and a day on the boat. Marcella is survived by her children, Frances (Eugene) Hynek of Janesville, WI, John R. (Kathleen) Sawvell of Clinton, Marion Kramer of Clinton, Diana (Kenneth) Jewell of Low Moor, Deb (Richard) Holmquist of Davenport, Margaret Weaver of Clinton and Robert Weaver of Clinton; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Emmitt) Burdick of Wisconsin; and three brothers, Chester Rose, Lester Rose and Richard Rose, all of Wisconsin.
