CLINTON — John A. Tate, age 35, of Clinton, died Monday Oct. 6, 2008, at Cox Medical Center North in Springfield, MO. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will follow the funeral service and the inurnment will be held at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. John was born on March 3, 1973, in Clinton, the son of James and Rhonda (Bradley) Tate. He worked as a carpenter in the Clinton area. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, loved the river, and his dog, Lanie. John is survived by his children, Anthony, Mackenzie, and Emily; his parents, James (Karen) Tate of Clinton and Rhonda (Jeff) Holle of Scotia, NY; two sisters, Lisa Tate and Rebecca Tate, both of Clinton, stepsister, Kristin (Paul) Stuart of Springs, TX; a stepbrother, Sandon (Dawn) Smith of Clinton; his grandparents, Russell (Delores) Tate of Kingsland, TX, John (Delores) Kimbrell of Arlington, TX, and Helen Thomsen of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie Bradley and Delbert Thomsen.Death date: Oct. 6, 2008
