CLINTON — Patricia M. Smith, 57 passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Patricia Marie Smith was born November 2, 1950, to Walter and Lucille Little and attended Davenport Schools, graduating from Davenport Central in 1968. Patricia worked for 31⁄2 years at First Federal Savings and Loan in downtown Davenport during which time she married Randy Powers. She later married (in 1981) George Smith, Jr. and moved to Clinton, Iowa, where she enjoyed life as a Mother, wife and grandmother. She was an avid walker, loved doing crossword puzzles, loved the beauty and solace of nature and with her husband enjoyed watching Hawkeye sports. She was a proud parent who was 100% behind her children’s accomplishments, academically and through sports. She was a courageous fighter in her battle with cancer and was an inspiration to all those she met. She leaves behind her husband, a daughter Stephanie (Scott) Stephenson of Geneseo, IL and their three children (Rachel, Makenna and Carter), a daughter Stacey (Ray) Munk of Sioux Falls, SD and their daughter (Peyton), a daughter Melissa Powers of Clinton and her daughter (Samantha) plus stepsons Eric (Cindy) Smith of Port Angeles, WA and Kyle Smith of Charleston, SC and his two children (Jarred and Caitlin). She will also be missed by her sister Debbie (Jim) Guinn of Davenport, IA, by her half sisters Betty Bowers of Overbrook, KS and Barb Duffy of Sandwich (IL) as well as her half brother Dean Wiseman of North Highlands, CA. Also surviving her are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her mother, father and grandparents preceded Patricia in death.
