CLINTON — Keith J. Farley, age 85, of Clinton, died Monday, September 15, 2008, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 19th at Oakland Cemetery in Clinton with military rites by the AMVETS. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Casket bearers will be Steve Tietjens, Tom Tietjens, David Jargo, Curtis Farley, Kenny Goodsman, Jim Foley, Mike Haley and Jeff Annear. Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice. Keith was born in Preston, Iowa, on July 20, 1923, the son of Wayne and Mabelle Frahm Farley. He graduated from Preston High School in 1941. Keith married Patsy Vincent at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, on April 21, 1951. Keith served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater at New Caledonia during W.W. II. He showed his patriotism by flying the American flag everyday. Keith was employed at Interstate Power for 36 years retiring in April of 1987. He was a master craftsman with a love for wood working. During his life he enjoyed fishing the back waters of the Mississippi and hunting. He was a former member of the Preston American Legion. Keith is survived by his wife Patsy; two sons, Douglas (Dulcie) Farley and Donald Farley both of Clinton; a daughter, Gail Farley of Boise, ID; two stepgrandsons, Chad (Darlene) Papke and Rick (Tamara) Papke; six sisters, Mae Marie Tietjens Gates of Teeds Grove, IA, Norma Claussen of Preston, Lolita Annear of Clinton, Janet Farley of Las Vegas, Evelyn (Duane) Hagge of Clinton and Roberta Haley of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Deana Farley of Clinton and his coffee “clutch” boys. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathleen; and two brothers, Leland and Donald. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.Death date: Sept. 15, 2008
