BURLINGTON — Shirley Jean Wood, 76, of Burlington and formerly of Maquoketa and Davenport, died Saturday at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa with Pastor David Glavin officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa. Death date: Aug. 30, 2008
