CLINTON — Per Elinor’s wishes, private family services will be held at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bellevue, Iowa. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren, Kellie Frederick, Keith Shepard, Jean and Dave Roete, Julie Clark, Joseph Clark, Malee Ketelsen, Susan Nelson, Lora Frances, Tina Baldwin and Rolinda Rudd. Elinor Schmidt Pavlick was born on May 23, 1914, in Bellevue, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Hammerand Schmidt. Elinor was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Iowa, was educated in rural Jackson County schools, and worked during the 1940s at the Marin Shipyard, Sausalito, California, and later in Clinton at Rich Toy Factory, Curtis Companies, and 20 years at the Garment Company. Elinor is survived by her son, Ivan Clark, Lowden, IA; daughters, Barbara Ried, Clinton, Donna Crockett, Ontario, CA, and Janet (Mike) Ketelsen, Clinton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Merile Clark, in 1984, and two sisters. Memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton, organ fund.
