CLINTON — Ann M. Lanning, 99, of Springfield, VA, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Arlington, VA. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 2, 2008, at 10:00 a.m.. Visitation will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Ann Hendrickson was born on March 7, 1909, in Spring Grove, MN, the daughter of Ole and Gustava (Benson) Hendrickson. She married Gordon W. Lanning November 24, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa; he died February 27, 1992. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O., volunteered at Jane Lamb Hospital and was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader. Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Roy) Swift of Clifton, VA; son, Gordon “Bill” (Karen) Lanning of Morgan Hill, CA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
