SAVANNA, Ill. — Linda M. Dearborn, age 62, of Savanna, Illinois, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. Linda was born August 10, 1945, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Darlene (Morris) Bock. On June 30, 1990, Linda married James “Jim” F. Dearborn in Dixon, Illinois. Linda worked as a self-employed housekeeper and as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Big Meadows Nursing Home for many years. Linda enjoyed collecting teddy bears, reading books by Danielle Steele, cooking and baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and she was learning the art of quilting. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Linda will be dearly missed by her husband, Jim, of Savanna; three sons, James W. (Angela) Wakefield, Savanna, John Paul Wakefield of Buffalo, Missouri, Loren M. Wakefield of Iowa; three step-sons Terry Dearborn of Lanark, Illinois, Kent (Florence) Dearborn of Polo, Illinois, and Lavern Dearborn of Iowa; two step-daughters, Debbie (Pat) Connor of Savanna, Patti (Sam Jr.) Jackson of Savanna; four grandchildren, Robert Wakefield of Buffalo, Missouri, Jeanetta Dawn (John) Falciano of Springfield, Missouri, Tenney Ann (Robert) Sudden of Buffalo, Missouri, Jasmine Wakefield of Buffalo, Missouri; ten step-grandchildren, Allen Dearborn of Lanark, Eric (Rachel) Connor of Albany, Illinois, Patrick (Kristin) Connor of Savanna, Krissy (Jimmy) Wolber of Dixon, Illinois, Amy Shugars of Sterling, Illinois, Rose Dearborn of Dixon, Kent Jr. (Re Ann) Dearborn of Polo, Michael and Breanne Dearborn of Polo, James A. Dearborn of Lanark, Illinois; four great grandchildren, Destiney Wakefield of Buffalo, Josh and Jadda Falciano, of Springfield, Missouri, Nicholas Sudden of Buffalo, Missouri, and one due in October; six step-great grandchildren, Chase and Caleb Shugars of Sterling, Seth and Emily Wolber, of Dixon, Aniah Dearborn of Dixon, newborn Zander Dearborn of Polo, and one due in December; and two sisters, Irene Schultz, Peggy (Jim) Kane; and one brother Terry Bock of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.Death date: July 16, 2008
