CLINTON — Craig A. Holland, age 57, of Clinton, Iowa, died Thursday July 10, 2008, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 P.M. with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall until 7:00 P.M. Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Craig was born in Dixon, IL, on March 3, 1951, the son of George and Mabel Belcher Holland. He graduated from Dixon High School in 1969 and received his AA Degree from Sauk Valley College. Craig married Lynn Peters on June 26, 1977, in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Clinton. Craig owned and operated Holland Painting. Craig was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council. He was active in the choir and had had done painting for the Zion Pre School. Craig had visited all 50 states, gone fishing in Alaska three times and been to Australia twice. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends and was well known as a Weber grillsman. Craig is survived by his wife, Lynn; three sons, Jeremiah (his wife, Cara) Holland of Pingree Grove, IL, Andrew Holland of Waterloo and Nathan Holland of Clinton; two grandchildren, Dade and Kyrie; his mother, Mabel Holland of Dixon; and a brother Curtis (his wife, Carol) Holland of Dixon. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kirby. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Death date: July 10, 2008
