1998 - 2002

Zachary Isaiah Benson, 3-year-old son of Loretta Benson, Clinton, died suddenly Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton.
According to family wishes, the body will be cremated. A gathering of friends and family will be 6 p.m. Friday at his mother’s home, 806 22nd Ave. N., Clinton.
Zachary Isaiah Benson was born Dec. 5, 1998, in Iowa City.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his stepmother, Brandy Holmes, Clinton; his stepbrother, Cole Holmes, at home; his grandfather, Don Benson, Clarksville, Tenn.; and his godparents, Rachel Krajnovich, Houston, and Isaiah Clark, Fulton, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dee Benson, on Aug. 10, 2002.
