CLINTON — Lawrence H. Ricklefs Sr., 87, Clinton, and a resident of Harbor Crest Home, Fulton, died Sunday at Harbor Crest.Lawrence was born May 11, 1921, to Rudolph and Teresa Ricklefs in Emerson, Illinois, and attended Emerson Schools. He married Gladys Mills, November 29, 1953, in Clinton. Lawrence worked as a farmer and at A.C. Nielsen Company, retiring in 1986 after 22 years.He is survived by his wife, Gladys; daughters, Kathy Cronin, Eugene Oregon, and Sue (Gary) Rasmussen, West Jordan, Utah; a son, Larry (Julie) Ricklefs, Camanche; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents and a sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Harold Hines.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Lemke Funeral Home-South Chapel with burial in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.Death date: June 29, 2008
