CLINTON — Marcella C. Reif, 83, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at her home. Visitation will be held Friday, July 4, 2008, from 2 - 4 p.m. and from 6 - 8 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes - North Chapel, 2304 N. 2nd St, and again an hour before services on Saturday. A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008, at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Prince of Peace Parish at 1:00 p.m., with Fr. Tony Herold officiating. Pallbearers will be Andy and Mike Vogel, Conner Edwards, Phil Niles and Jon and Scott Laughlin. Burial will follow at St. Irenaeus Cemetery.Marcella was born February 16, 1925, in Cornell, WI, to Louis and Luella (Byrnes) Purfeerst. She married Robert Reif on October 28, 1950, in Oshkosh, WI. Marcella worked as a Sales Clerk at JC Penney. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by three daughters, Patty (Jon) Laughlin of Clinton, Mary Reif of Seattle, WA and Lou (Phil Niles) Reif of Dubuque; two sons, Don (Marj) Reif of Rochester, MN and Jim Reif of Austin, TX; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat Vogel of Rock Island, IL; one brother, Ed Purfeerst of Rockford, IL; one sister-in-law, Lee Purfeerst of Rockford, IL; one brother-in-law, Orville Sather of Wautoma, WI; and many supportive nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2002, her parents, two brothers and a sister-in-law.Death date: July 1, 2008
