Irma Swenson
1909 - 2003

Irma Swenson, 93, Calamus, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Calamus. Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Calamus.
Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Swenson was employed as a cook at Calamus schools.
Irma Schnepal was born Jan. 25, 1909, in Clinton County. She married George Swenson in 1935 in DeWitt. He died in 1994.
Survivors include daughters, Marvel Roggendorf, Bettendorf, and Mariann Harmel, Bennett; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Alma Carstensen, DeWitt.
