Raymond Halverson
1911 - 2003Raymond O. Halverson, 91, Clinton, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Sorden Cemetery, Keswick.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Halverson taught for 32 years in Clinton schools, including at Clinton High School and Washington and Gateway middle schools. He also taught in Kinross and Osceola.
He was born March 10, 1911, in Tracy, Minn. He married Thelma Moore in 1942 in rural Keswick.
During World War II, he served in the Navy.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Project.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma; son, Don, College Station, Texas; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Bartlett, Santa Cruz, Calif.
