Marie Crites 07/27/1998 BETTENDORF -- Services for Marie J. Crites, of Bettendorf, formerly of Clinton and Elvira, Iowa, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at McGinnis, Chambers and Sass Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Crites died Saturday, July 25, 1998, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Pleasant Valley, Iowa. She had worked as a cook in several area restaurants, including the Paddlewheel in Bettendorf. Marie Jurgensen was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Clinton. She married Glenn Crites in 1932 in Clinton. He died in 1970. Memorials may be made to the family. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Novak, Davenport; a son, Roger Crites, Bettendorf; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
