The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church for Avelda D. HERINGTON, 75 of 916 15th Ave. So.
She died Monday at Genesis West, Davenport.
The Rev. Brian “Pete” HAGGLUND will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Clinton Chapel, Snell- Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery and Daniel BAILEY, Robert and Richard BADRICK, John HERINGTON and Douglas SULLIVAN.
She was born Jan 11, 1923 in Jackson County, to John and Louise KUKKUCK MILLER. She married Harold F. HERINGTON, Aug. 31, 1940 in Preston. He died Jan 21, 1998.
She was a 1939 graduate of Preston High School.
She had been employed with the Clinton Credit Bureau, and also was a dental assistant with Dr. C. Graham BOARDWAY.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sharon (Donald) BAILEY of Clinton; a son, Roger J. HERINGTON of Oskaloosa; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, her twin, Anita DOHRMAN of Clinton, and Bernice MULLINS of Preston.
She was preceded in death by a brother
