SYLVANIA, Ohio, formerly MOLINE, Ill. — Barbara Shirk, 73, of Sylvania, Ohio, died on Wednesday May 14, 2008, after a long illness. A short prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Saint Michaels in the Hills Episcopal Church in Toledo, Ohio. The former Barbara Ann Needham was born October 7, 1934, in Moline, the daughter of Mary and Frank Needham. She married George Shirk on June 28, 1958, in Moline. Barbara is survived by her husband, George; a son, Tracey Shirk of Seattle, Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Shirk-Lambert and Robert Lambert of Margate, Florida; a sister and brother-in-law, Bertha and Roland Franks of Maryville, Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Joyce Needham of Coal Valley, Illinois, Jim and Marion Needham of Moline, and Frank Needham of Moline; and an uncle, Walter J.
